Kitchen Renovations Melbourne
The kitchen is the heart of your home. YoungConstruct designs and builds complete kitchen renovations across Melbourne's east, with custom cabinetry and benchtops crafted by carpenters, delivered on time and on budget.
Melbourne kitchen renovations, built properly
A kitchen renovation has more moving parts than any other room: cabinetry, benchtops, plumbing, electrical, gas, splashbacks and appliances all have to land in exactly the right place, in exactly the right order.
That's why every YoungConstruct kitchen is managed end-to-end by a licensed builder with carpentry at the core: one point of contact, precise joinery, and a kitchen that works as good as it looks.
Cabinetry & benchtops, crafted by carpenters
Flat-pack kitchens fail at the details: gaps at the walls, doors that sag, benchtops that lift. Ours are built and fitted by carpenters, and it shows.
Measured to the millimetre
Cabinetry designed around your exact walls, floors and appliances, not forced from standard sizes.
Quality carcasses & hardware
Moisture-resistant board, soft-close hinges and full-extension drawer runners built to handle daily use.
Stone & timber benchtops
Engineered stone, natural stone or solid timber, templated precisely and installed with clean junctions.
Scribed & finished on site
Kickboards, panels and trims scribed to your walls by a carpenter, so nothing is hidden with caulk.
Licensed builder oversight on every stage. Because YoungConstruct is a registered building practitioner (DB-L 100172), plumbing, gas and electrical are all coordinated and signed off, not left for you to chase.

Kitchen renovation FAQs
How much does a kitchen renovation cost in Melbourne?
It depends on the size of the kitchen, the cabinetry and benchtop materials you select, and how much plumbing, gas or electrical work is involved. After a free on-site visit we provide a detailed, itemised quote so you know exactly what to expect before work begins.
How long does a kitchen renovation take?
Most kitchens are completed within 3โ5 weeks of construction starting, depending on scope and cabinetry lead times. You receive a clear schedule before we start, and we sequence trades so nothing sits idle.
Can I keep using my kitchen during the renovation?
The kitchen will be out of action during the build. Most clients set up a temporary kitchenette; we can help plan this, and we stage the work to keep the disruption window as short as possible.
Do you move plumbing, gas and electrical?
Yes. Relocating sinks, cooktops and power is common when improving a layout. All plumbing, gas and electrical work is completed by licensed trades and coordinated by one licensed builder (DB-L 100172).
Is custom cabinetry worth it over flat-pack?
In most cases, yes. Custom cabinetry is built to your exact walls and appliances, uses better hardware, and is fitted by carpenters, so doors stay aligned and nothing sags. It also adds more resale value than flat-pack.
